The boys said that they were finished studying sharks and wanted to start studying fish. Christopher specified Red Fish. Go figure!
So, to study the different types of art, I thought it would be fun to get some tissue paper, some cardboard outlines of fish and let the boys design the kinds of fish they are interested in using these two elements.
Enjoy the results...
After creating a fish, it was time to introduce the fish through presentations.
It was interesting because I thought that the kids would be highly involved in this activity and they were not. Their attention span did not last very long and they were bored quickly. I asked if they wanted to keep learning about the different types of fish and they said they were done. From their actions, I could tell it was time to move on. I always feel this bit of frustration when I have spent time on something but this frustration is always a sign to me that we need to move on and that I have not focused on the right thing.
