Matthew's Favorite Animal, dog |
Cute thing...when Matthew chose this animal he thought it was a cat. I told him that it was a bird instead. I showed him at the top that there was a letter B and B starts with bird and that there would be a C if it was a cat.
Well, in his little mind, something else happened. He looked below the word bird and saw the words "Pattern Block Mat". And when he saw the "C' in the word block, he said, Uh uh, it is a cat. He was pretty adamant that it was a cat because of the letter "C". And he kept pointing to the C in the word block just as I had said that there would be a "C' if it was a cat.
Needless to say, he won and this bird became a cat. I love how these little ones take things so literal. So fun!
