Once we were done with the color matching, I decided to see if I could keep Matthew's attention
long enough to start recognizing the actual names of the colors.
I was impressed with how long he lasted.
In order to reinforce the names, I decided to write out the name of the color on each matching envelope. Starting with red at Matthew's request, I gave Matthew a bunch of stickers and invited him to find the correct letters found in the each color.
Matthew chose to put them above each name.
This activity went on longer than I thought would happen.
Matthew lasted long enough to spell each name for each color for all the colors except green.
He was definitely proud of his work and made sure that all his brothers and also his dad saw the work he accomplished that day!
