It has been mostly animal activities lately around here. I have loved being able to be create animal activities for kids at home. Matthew has been eating these activities to do with kids up. Yes!
Educational activities for kids are often successful when they are centered on an interest. Children's attention spans often will increase when they can use both their body and mind together.
So I thought this would be a perfect combination for learning animal sight words.
Fun activities such as this will need to include the following:
- Two Chairs
- A fitted or flat sheet
- A pole of some sort
- A string to put on the pole
- A clasp of some sort
- Plastic farm animals for kids
- Names of animals written on paper
It was very successful and I would say that this would be one of the many fun activities for toddlers that a caregiver could do. This animal theme activity is the beginning to what I hope are more creative activities for children centered around animals.
