So it's hot these days. And I have not yet invested in a small kids pool. We normally just go to the local water theme park with our summer passes or a local swimming pool.
However, Matthew was hot and wanted to get wet. So, I used what we had. A storage bin. But shh, do not tell anyone. :) And well, he loved it and it fit his body perfectly.
We played where is the letter such and such for awhile. Then it was time to move on to spelling words.
I bet you can't guess the name of the stool he used to get into the storage bin.
With the ninja and Rainforest classes, Matthew has not been getting as much time with me. It was great to be able to have finally connect. It felt good to stop doing my other mommy duties and sit down on the ground with him and play. A true parent child connection. He was definitely in need of it. And the fun part of it all is I was able to throw in some education and teach him some more about reading. And the best part of it was he had no idea I was teaching him early skills for reading. :)
