Rainforest Week 2

Learning about Rainforests with several minutes of reading.  I do it for as long as I can keep their attention. 

What I am learning....

 

 

 Where does Chocolate (Cocao) come from? 

 

Watched a movie on the steps to making chocolate.  Very Interesting!

 

 

 

These boys went to town. I did not do anything except take pictures. I love it!

Layers of the Rainforest

 

Putting the pieces together the Fastest!  

Nothing like a bit of competition eh?

What layer of the rainforest do the animals live in?

Starting to put it all together. We used our previous form from the zoo to collect the information

  We did not have enough time to finish this project so I am sure we will be coming back to it.  Class had ended but they could have cared less. They were so engaged with the pictures of the animals.  It was incredibly fulfilling to me to hear the conversation they were having with each other. They were truly amazed at the pictures and the amount of knowledge at their finger tips on the rainforest animals. We will definitely be finishing this project and learning more about rainforest animals.

Once class was over.........................

I love this...this is my oldest still looking at more pictures and studying on his own.  He looked for almost 45 minutes after class had ended on rainforest animals, especially the snakes and snake bites of course.
